About WordPlay

WordPlay’s mission is to bring people's writing goals and dreams to life through the magic of combining the power of play with the power of commitment. WordPlay provides opportunities for clients to create and/or polish writing in a variety of genres, to preserve memories, craft legacies, and enrich lives.

WordPlay’s services are designed and implemented by award-winning writer Maureen Ryan Griffin, who has taught writing and creativity workshops for nearly fifteen years at many locations, including Queens University, Central Piedmont Community College, and the John Campbell Folk School. She is the author of This Scatter of Blossoms (Main Street Rag) and When The Leaves Are In The Water (Sandstone Publishing). Her new book on writing, Spinning Words into Gold, is now available. Griffin has also written and presented radio commentary on Charlotte’s WFAE.

See samples of her poetry at www.mainstreetrag.com and a review of her work at www.ncarts.org/freeform_scrn_template.cfm?ffscrn_id=173 (Scroll down to “December 12-18”).
